Great Thanksgiving Banquet
Springs Rescue Mission will host its annual "Great Thanksgiving Banquet" at City Auditorium on Wednesday, November 26.
Thanksgiving banquets will serve over 2,000 meals to our homeless and at-risk neighbors in the Pikes Peak region. The banquet is designed to deliver an encouraging holiday experience for those who are hurting in our city. During the event, the Mission will be giving away winter gear to help our neighbors survive the cold weather including coats, hats, gloves and other items to those in need.
The opportunity to sign up to serve at the Banquets will begin on October 31st. A list of volunteer opportunities for the Great Thanksgiving Banquet and other Thanksgiving events is available here. Please save the date and consider joining us in serving our neighbors in need and making a positive difference in our community.
Good Neighbor Lunches
Every month we want to give good neighbors like you the opportunity to see the scope of the impact that their financial support makes at the Mission. That’s why we invite you to attend one of our monthly luncheons held in the Samaritan’s Kitchen. Lunch begins at 12 p.m. sharp and ends by 1 p.m. An optional 30-minute tour of the Mission will follow from 1 to 1:30 p.m.
Since space is limited, please RSVP by calling Tawny at (719) 632-1822. And feel free to bring friends! This is a great way to introduce your friends to Springs Rescue Mission and the work you're passionate about. These luncheons are not fundraisers; the meals are prepared by the men in Culinary Training, part of the Mission’s New Life addiction recovery program. They are always excited to plan and make meals for guests. We think you’ll enjoy the meal, and you certainly won't leave hungry!
Upcoming luncheon dates include the following:
- November 19th
- December 17th
To make reservations for the luncheon that best fits your schedule, call Tawny Saunders at (719) 632-1822.
