2014 5K Color Run

For our second annual 5k, Springs Rescue Mission is partnering with The Color Dash, a fun, family-friendly event for walkers, runners, and people of all ages, shapes and sizes! The dash is not timed—it's more about sharing memories, laughing, and getting colored like a bag of skittles than competing. As participants run or walk the course, volunteers will splash them with colorful dust.

The results: a white t-shirted community of neighbors turned into a rainbow of color. Get your family and friends together or dash on your own. Either way, enjoy the 5K, the music, and the color while you help your homeless neighbors! We hope you’ll join us on October 4. Registration and information at

Good Neighbor Lunches

Every month we want to give good neighbors like you the opportunity to see the scope of the impact that their financial support makes at the Mission. That’s why we invite you to attend one of our monthly luncheons held in the Samaritan’s Kitchen. Lunch begins at 12 p.m. sharp and ends by 1 p.m. An optional 30-minute tour of the Mission will follow from 1 to 1:30 p.m.

Since space is limited, please RSVP by calling Tawny at (719) 632-1822. And feel free to bring friends! This is a great way to introduce your friends to Springs Rescue Mission and the work you're passionate about. These luncheons are not fundraisers; the meals are prepared by the men in Culinary Training, part of the Mission’s New Life addiction recovery program. They are always excited to plan and make meals for guests. We think you’ll enjoy the meal, and you certainly won't leave hungry!

Upcoming luncheon dates include the following:

  • September 17th
  • October 15th
  • November 19th
  • December 17th

To make reservations for the luncheon that best fits your schedule, call Tawny Saunders at (719) 632-1822.
