2009's first baby shower for low income
moms is best summed up by a quote from a
donor and friend of the Mission
.

"I attended the Spring Baby Shower at Springs Rescue Mission on Saturday April 25.  What a blessing! I am a grandmother of 9 and it was a touching and emotional event for me as I watched the mothers, fathers, and even grandmothers have a wonderful time.
They  shared in the excitement of each person receiving special attention from those serving them at this special event. Prizes were won and gifts galore were given out. I even had the privilege of holding several of the babies in attendance and visiting with many of the attendees.
The love and attention the Springs Rescue Mission showed for these families at the shower only convinced me more that the donations given to the Mission are spent wisely and lovingly to those who benefit from and appreciate the gifts.  I can hardly wait for the next shower in October" - Mrs. Phillips
